Mystic Revelation Riddim
Roots and Fyah label present their new production: “Mystic Revelation”, a brand new 12 inch release including the mighty voice of roots veteran Earl Sixteen and the unique and soulful voice of Spanish singer Inés Pardo. The riddim is a re-cut of Junior Delahaye’s “Mystic Revelation” recorded at Wackie´s Studio in the early 80’s. In this re-cut, recorded and mixed at A-Lone Ark Muzik Studio by Roberto Sánchez, we can hear Earl Sixteen singing the original Delahaye’s song, delivering the lyrics and meaning in his own rootikal way, using his falsetto style as never before. The vocal is extended by an amazing dub paying tribute to the best extended releases of the roots era. On the flip side we can hear Inés Pardo’s “They Don’t Know”, which is a chant from her soul inviting everyone to meditate about the actual social and political situation, where we are living under control, leaded by people that doesn’t know us. After the vocal cut we can hear a cleaner version of the riddim that will please selectors and djs at the dances. All the cuts together create this brand new Roots and Fyah production, a stunning rootikal re-make with a new meaning for nowadays living. A must for all Roots Lovers!
For our new reference, as well as for the previous ones, presentation has been carefully designde and the vinyl is accompanied by a special edition limited and numbered cover (500).
